Biography of Pastor A.W. Barlow & Minister Cassanra D. Barlow 

Mr. A.W. Mrs. Cassandra D. Barlow met in Gainesville Florida in the summer of 1983. Mr. Barlow was starting law school at the University of Florida and Mrs. Cassandra Barlow was a freshman at Santa Fe Community College. They began dating in 1985, were engaged on the top of the Eiffel Tower in Paris France in December 1986 and were married on May 20, 1988. They are blessed with three children and two grand-children.

At the age of 20 Pastor Barlow initially confessed Christ at the witnessing of a fearless door to door evangelist (who happened to be white) walking throughout a African-American neighborhood in North Jacksonville. Barlow was greatly impressed by the fearlessness of the evangelist who risked his life to approach complete strangers of a different race to share the Gospel. More importantly though, Barlow marveled at the power of God which caused him to yield despite having first “purposed in his heart” that he was going to reject everything the evangelist had to say, yet wound up confessing Christ as his personal savior anyway! He had no way of knowing just how important that encounter would be for the ministry God had planned for his own life in the distant future which is NOW. Conversely, Minister Cassandra Barlow accepted Jesus at the tender age of five and has been with the Lord ever since. Her dedication to God and constant prayers for her husband substantially helped him to hear from God and accept the Call God had upon his life.

Mr. Barlow received his law degree from the University of Florida in 1985 and became a member of the Florida Bar and the Georgia Bar in 1986 and 1994 respectively. In addition to serving in the ministry, Attorney Barlow has been actively engaged in the practice of law as a trial lawyer for well over 30 years.  Minister Cassandra Barlow received a B.S. in Mass Communications from Florida State University in 1987, and a Masters in Public Administration from University of North Florida in 1994. In addition to her ministerial services as a woman of God, she is also an instructor with Duval County Public Schools.

God is  continuing to use Breakthrough Prayer Ministries both near and far as lost souls continue to be  saved, bodies are being baptized and lives are being changed for the better to the glory of Almighty God, in the Name of Jesus and in the Power of the Holy Spirit!
